Hope and Faith Home for Special Children was founded because certain truths could not be ignored. Across many communities, disability is often met with fear, shame, and neglect. Children and adults with disabilities are frequently hidden from view, denied access to education and medical care, and barred from participating in everyday social life. Families that are impoverished or uninformed sometimes resort to cruel coping methods, including confinement, chaining, or abandonment. At the same time, government and community systems often fail to provide accessible rehabilitation or social integration. These realities create unnecessary suffering that cries out for intervention.
Hope and Faith was established to interrupt this cycle of suffering. The Home’s mission is built on five core pillars: rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration, resocialization, and prevention. Rescue provides immediate protection for individuals in danger. Rehabilitation addresses physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, helping children and adults regain independence and confidence.
Reintegration seeks to restore family and community connections where safe and feasible. Resocialization teaches social skills, communal habits, and participation in meaningful activities. Prevention focuses on education, advocacy, and community awareness to reduce future neglect and abandonment. Together, these pillars form the Home’s functional and moral architecture, guiding every program and initiative.
The decision to act was also deeply theological. The founder’s Christian faith provided moral clarity and conviction. The vulnerable deserve protection. The broken have inherent worth. Those called to compassion are obligated to serve. The biblical narrative of redemption, which transforms despair into hope, shaped the belief that lives could be restored and dignity renewed. Faith became both the engine and anchor of the Home’s work, inspiring personal sacrifice during seasons of scarcity and providing a long-term vision for restoration, care, and hope.
Hope and Faith was born from compassion combined with purpose. It offers a sanctuary where children and adults with disabilities are seen, valued, and nurtured. Every program, therapy session, and educational activity is designed to restore physical abilities, emotional resilience, and social confidence. By providing care, protection, and opportunity, the Home demonstrates that disability is not a reason for exclusion but a call to community, support, and empowerment.
The founding of Hope and Faith also represents a broader vision for social change. Beyond immediate care, the Home educates families, communities, and institutions about disability, inclusion, and human dignity. Advocacy and awareness initiatives aim to dismantle stigma and ensure that every child or adult with a disability has access to the services, relationships, and opportunities they deserve.
In essence, Hope and Faith was started to turn despair into hope, isolation into belonging, and neglect into restoration. The Home embodies a moral and spiritual commitment to protect the vulnerable, celebrate human dignity, and offer a life of care, learning, and opportunity for those society too often overlooks.
