From its earliest days, Hope and Faith Home for Special Children has relied on a rich mosaic of donors and partners. Support has come from individual contributors, local community groups, corporate sponsors, and charitable foundations. Every contribution, whether large or small, translates directly into tangible care for children and adults with disabilities. Donations provide nutritious meals, medical treatment, physiotherapy materials, clothing, hygiene supplies, and staff salaries, ensuring that the Home can function efficiently and offer consistent, high quality care.
Major supporters and strategic partners have played a pivotal role in shaping the Home’s development. Standard Chartered Bank made a remarkable contribution by purchasing land and sponsoring the construction of the permanent Home at Juja Farm. This has provided a safe and stable environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive.
Local community groups have also been instrumental. The Sixty United Group from Gikomba and Thika Innovators guided by the Kimani Group funded the perimeter wall and other infrastructural improvements. These contributions have enhanced security, safety, and accessibility, creating a more welcoming environment for the children.
The Children Autism Foundation has made significant contributions to the Home’s therapy and infrastructure programs. They renovated and equipped the therapy room, supported perimeter security projects, and donated essential equipment, including a washing machine. The Foundation has also committed resources toward a future solar power system to reduce reliance on the unreliable electrical grid, ensuring uninterrupted therapy, lighting, and essential services.
At Hope and Faith, donor engagement is not merely transactional. The Home seeks meaningful partnerships that blend financial support with technical assistance, capacity building, volunteer engagement, and shared advocacy. Donors are invited to participate in the life of the Home, receiving periodic reports, photographic updates, and narratives that illustrate the tangible impact of their contributions. This approach fosters transparency, accountability, and a deep sense of shared purpose.
Long term relationships with donors and partners are central to sustaining the Home’s mission. By combining resources, expertise, and care, the Home and its supporters ensure that children with disabilities are not only rescued but nurtured, rehabilitated, and empowered to participate fully in their communities.
Every donation, every act of volunteerism, and every partnership is a declaration that children and adults with disabilities are valued, respected, and worthy of opportunity. Hope and Faith Home invites all who share this vision to join hands, help sustain programs, and contribute to a future where vulnerable children can grow in safety, dignity, and hope.
